In recent years, the tech partnership between India and the European Union (EU) has received renewed momentum through the EU-India Trade and Technology Council, the Free Trade Agreement and a common vision for 2030. Under this tech partnership, “Space” has emerged as an important pillar. Although India and the EU have worked together on space for years, but the launch of a formal Space Dialogue in 2025 signals a clear shift in pace and ambition. In contrast, Europe brings advanced scientific instrumentation, deep-space tracking infrastructure, and extensive experience in complex multinational missions. Existing arrangements highlight this convergence, allowing each side to compensate for capability gaps while reducing costs and risks.
