Dr Soumya Bhowmick is a Fellow at the Observer Research Foundation (ORF) and a Visiting Fellow at The Stimson Centre, Washington, D.C. He completed industry-endorsed PhD studies as a SYLFF Research Grantee (Tokyo Foundation), focusing on inclusive wealth in South Asian economies. He holds a double master’s degree in economics from Jadavpur University, Kolkata, and the University of Antwerp, Belgium (specialising in Globalisation Economics and European Integration). He was previously awarded the Government of Japan’s JASSO Scholarship, the Tokyo Foundation’s SYLFF M.A. Fellowship, and the European Commission’s EMJMD Fellowship. Soumya has published multiple edited volumes and papers in peer-reviewed journals and is a regular contributor to digital and print platforms.
