J S Kharakwal is Director of Sahitya Sansthan, JRN Rajasthan Vidyapeeth (Deemed University), Udaipur. His research explores protohistoric archaeology, archaeometallurgy and traditional knowledge systems. He excavated a Harappan settlement at Kanmer and the chalcolithic site Balathal, and a medieval ruins of Chandravati in Sirohi.
