Tamegh Panwar teaches archaeology, folklore and prehistory at the Department of History and Indian Culture, University of Rajasthan, Jaipur. His research aims to disclose the deep roots of the Indian past.  It includes the discovery of several Palaeolithic sites in Rajasthan, curation of a museum of cultural history of Rajasthan and exposing structures of power in local cultural practices, artefacts and music.
