Gaddam Dharmendra, a former Indian Foreign Service officer who retired as Dean of the Sushma Swaraj Institute of Foreign Service, is currently a nonresident senior fellow at Carnegie India. During his time in the Indian Foreign Service, which began in 1990, he served as Ambassador to Iran and headed both the Disarmament and International Security Affairs Division and the Policy Planning and Research Division.
