Dr. Swati Chawla is a historian of modern South Asia and the Himalayas, with a Ph.D. in history from the University of Virginia. She is the Assistant Director of the Centre for Learning and Innovative Pedagogies at JGU and has mentored students across three continents. Her research focuses on migration, citizenship, and Sikkimese nationalism. She integrates digital humanities tools into her teaching and scholarship.
