Joanne Cormac is Associate Professor of Music at the University of Nottingham and a UKRI Future Leaders Fellow. A specialist in nineteenth-century music and cultural history, her work explores classical music’s entanglements with empire, global mobility, and modernity. She is the author of several books on Franz Liszt and the symphony.
