Amit Shovon Ray is Professor of Economics at the Centre for International Trade and Development, Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi. In the past, he has held teaching and research positions at premier Universities and Institutions in India and abroad, including Oxford University Institute of Economics and Statistics, International Food Policy Research Institute (Washington DC), University of Calcutta (Kolkata), and Indian Institute of Technology (Delhi). He has also served as Director, Centre for Development Studies, Trivandrum, Chair Professor at the Indian Council for Research on International Economic Relations, New Delhi.
