India-UK Army Exercise Ajeya Warrior to be conducted in Rajasthan, to strengthen joint counter-terrorism ops

What happened:

On November 15, 2025, the Indian Army announced that the 8th edition of the bilateral exercise Ajeya Warrior with the British Army will take place from November 17–30 at the Mahajan Field Firing Ranges in Rajasthan. The exercise focuses on strengthening joint counter-terrorism capabilities in semi-urban environments under Chapter VII of the UN mandate. It follows the 2023 edition held in the UK and continues the tradition of sharing best practices, improving coordination, and enhancing tactical interoperability between the two armies.

Why it matters to India:

Ajeya Warrior 2025 underscores India’s growing defence cooperation with the United Kingdom and highlights a shared commitment to global peace and security. The exercise deepens operational synergy, builds trust, and complements other recent engagements such as the bilateral naval drill Konkan 25. Together, these interactions reinforce India’s focus on strengthening multi-domain interoperability with key strategic partners.
